Harry Potter Birthday!

Today is the hub's birthday!

He is a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so along with a Kindle complete with the Harry Potter Cook Book...
I made matching shirts for him and the soon to be baby using this awesome tutorial by Rae Gun Ramblings!

We made Butterbeer... okay, Derek made butterbeer. I was banned from the kitchen
He knows my track record...

It's too bad his Hogwarts Acceptance Letter hasn't arrived yet. He's gonna love it...

EASY Chicken Sour Cream Enchiladas

I am all about easy
And my cooking abilities...not great.
But these my friends are EASY
And when I make them, my husband thinks I'm flippin Betty Crocker.
Yeah. They're that good.

Chicken Sour Cream Enchiladas
from Marie Winger

Sauce:
Combine 2 cans cream of chicken soup
2 4-ounce cans of diced green chilies
1 cup dairy sour cream
2-3 cups diced cooked chicken
chopped onion

Also Needed:
Grated cheddar cheese
10-12 corn tortillas

Directions:
Soft fry tortillas in oil (optional). Spoon sauce and cheese into each tortilla and roll. Place seam down in baking dish. Pour remaining sauce over enchiladas. Cover with cheese if desired. Bake in low oven for 30 minutes. Top with lettuce, tomato and sour cream, if desired.
Yields 10 - 12 enchiladas.

I usually make them before church, and put them in the oven afterwards...
gives me something to look forward to when I get home.

Feeling Hot Hot Hot!

So I've been cutting my own hair for the past 7 years...
Usually I cut my hair with my scrapbooking scissors
It looks TERRIBLE every time I do it...
but for some reason I always think I've suddenly developed mad hair cutting skills
Not so.

Well...I finally got sick and tired of my lifeless hair, and shelled out the 50 bucks for a "real" hair cut!
Let me tell you...I would have paid 100 bucks if I had known my hair could look this good!!

Check me out!

SSSSSSSS..... I'm SMOKIN!
Thank you so much Jill from Elle Marie... you rock my world.

Paper cutters can cut more than paper....

Remind me never to leave a paper cutter blade on the floor
while cleaning out my crafting dresser
And also that we need to buy some grown up band-aids....

Being 6 Months Pregnant....

Being 6 months pregnant means a lot of things

...it means changing clothes multiple times a day from "sneezing accidents"
...it means bawling at the movies Snow Dogs and Old School
...it means wearing the same pants 10 days in a row because they actually fit.
...it means sleeping with every single pillow in the house... plus some couch cushions.

But you know the best thing it means?
It means this baby is getting closer to joining our crazy family.
I can't wait to meet her.
I hope she likes crazy.

Angel Food Delight

Fooooood. Fooooooooooooood....
I love you so much.... in a very unhealthy way.

My husband was trying to come up with a good date idea yesterday
I told him, that unless it involved food, I didn't want anything to do with it.
Addiction anyone?

This is one of my favorite food addictions...
because while you're eating it, you don't feel like you're getting fat...
so you eat more...and more....and more....
and pretty soon your 5 notches out on your belt.
Now that's what I call DELICIOUS!

Angel Food Delight
source...
because I don't have beautiful dishware!
Ingredients
Box of Angel Food Cake
Frozen Berries (strawberries are the best)
Large box of Jello (Sugar free works great)
2 Tubs of whipped topping (I used light)

Directions
Cook the Angel Food cake according to the box
Cook Jello, using 1/2 the water it calls for
Mix the frozen berries into the jello before you put it in the fridge.

Break up the Angel Food cake into small cubes (really, I just tore it up with my hands...who can tell the difference?), and place 1/3 of them at the bottom of your bowl. Do a layer of jello/berries, then a layer of whipped cream.

Repeat these layers until you've used all of your cake/jello/whipped cream. Top with the remaining whipped cream.

Yep. That's it. I know. SOOO fancy.

Nautical Headband Tutorial

I love the whole "Nautical" trend going on right now
...well... on OTHER people.
See, stripes make me look like a bucket o' fat
I'm already almost 6 months pregnant...I don't need any extra help.

But I found a crazy awesome nautical headband that I had to try.
And well...headbands don't really make you look fat.

Difficulty: Easy
Time: 15 minutes
Cost: cheap
Fun-o-meter: DUH!

Materials
Thick yarn or rope
Felt
Ribbon
Headband
Scissors
Glue Gun

Directions
Step One: The Knot

Step Two: The Band

Step 3: Putting it all together

And that's it! It may look complicated, but this little baby isn't hard...and it won't make you look fat
Unless you're preggo
then sorry
