How to mortify your husband...

My husband is a pretty easy going guy
I mean, he has to me seeing as he took the plunge with me.

Last night I mortified him.
Even I was a little embarrassed...
And embarrassing me is not easy.
Heck, I accidentally peed my pants last week in (pregnancy...what gives??)
and it didn't even phase me.

Last night I was out shopping with my husband at Ross, trying to find some maternity clothes that don't make me look like a whale (My celebrity look alike is Free Willy as of late).
I was going to and from the dressing room, and they kept this meticulous count of the clothes I brought both in and out.
 I guess I can't blame them.
I look like I'm stuffing clothes under my shirt with how fat I'm getting.

I was in the aisle and I found a top that I wanted to try on.
Now I did have an undershirt on, and I really didn't want to go back to the paranoid theft prevention fitting room attendants, so I ripped off my top shirt (leaving my undershirt) to try on the top.
Cute right?? Don't worry, I bought it.
But when I looked down, my undershirt had disappeared
And I was standing in the aisle wearing...well...not much.
My husband turned to talk to me and his eyes went HUGE.
Like a "What the heck are you doing?!!" look.
I tried to quickly redress myself, but you know how shirts are...I couldn't find the sleeves...

All I can say is that the patrons of Ross got quite the awesome show last night.
And my husband...well...he's recovering

  1. Hi, sorry I'm just a blog stalker, but I'm pregnant too (only 3 months, but already showing!) and I bought two of those shirts at Ross just this week (one in white, the other in purple)!! I love it cause it's not just completely shapeless and huge like most maternity wear, so I still feel feminine and pretty in it and actually look a little pregnant instead of just looking like I ate too much! :D

Also, to justify your action a little--trying on un-flattering maternity clothes IS frustrating and I can totally see why just trying it on right there was your instinct! Totally hilarious what actually happened though :)

  5. Oh sleeves! What's with the arms... it's like they are trying to keep you from putting them on in a rush, like they deserve the time or something... p.s. I got a lot of maternity shirts at Kohl's and at motherhood maternity (clearance at both places surprisingly gave me a lot to work with!)... Oh and I invested in a belly band (you can get them at target) they're perfect for like in between stages, to where you're not big enough for the big pregnancy pants but the regular ones are just too tight :D (adorable top by the way!)

  6. Oh dear I think I actually just snorted out loud and now I am making very weird little noises trying to keep my laughter at a low level so as not to wake the baby!

  15. I just found your blog and love it, you are seriously cracking me up! this story in particular I can kinda relate too,8th grade trying on clothes with my mom, grandma and granny along for the shopping trip, I had pulled my shirt up over my bra for what reason I do not recall and forgot to put back down before walking out of the dressing room to show off my jeans to the gal's my great granny was so tickled and in shock all she could do was wave her hand in a get back in there motion and make a psh psh noise of course I didn't catch on until it was too late and not before a bunch of good looking much older cowboy's saw the goods lol
